Alberto Vidal (violin)
Alberto was born in 1980. He began playing the violin at the age of 6, and started his musical studies in Madrid Conservatorio at the age of 11, with Professors Adriana Marchinova and Farid Fasla. In 2001 he began his undergraduate studies at the Royal College of Music with Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky, and in 2007 he completed his Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Academy with Professor Howard Davis. He was also a student of Gordan Nikolic at the Rotterdam Conservatorium.
He has been a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra, Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra, and Southbank Sinfonia. He has attended masterclasses with Rachel Podger, Felix Andreivsky, Ana Baget, Farid Fasla and the Skampa Quartet.
Alberto has performed in some of the most important venues in Madrid and London, and also toured China, Portugal, France and Spain. He has worked with some world-leading conductors, such as Sir Roger Norrington, Andrew Litton, Yan Pascal Tortellier and Bernard Haitink.
