Angela Balint (violin)
Angela studied violin at the Béla Bartók Conservatoire and Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest under the direction of Terez Pichner, Geza Kapas and Eszter Perenyi. After graduating she moved to England and continued her studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire with Rimma Sushanskaya.
She has won several awards and competitions including the String Prize of Birmingham Conservatoire in 2007. She is dedicated to chamber music and has led various chamber ensembles both in Hungary and England.
She is currently a freelance player and for the year 2008 was a member of Southbank Sinfonia, where she worked with highly acclaimed musicians and orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Academy of St Martin in the Fields and London Sinfonietta.
